Perfect Denim for Curves

The perfect pair of jeans is difficult to find. It is even worse when you are short and have been blessed with curves (all of us!). KanCan jeans have been my go to since the 8th grade. Yep, I have been wearing this brand of jeans for almost a decade.

It started in 8th grade when I went on a work trip to LA with my favorite aunt. She took me to the Fashion District in LA where I got to go to the Kancan store and pick out a few of these jeans. It was love at first fit.

These jeans are made of such a soft material that holds it shape but also molds to your curves making them so comfortable! They have so many different styles to satisfy any mood. From the rocker chic black denim, to the boyfriend ripped up ones as well as everyone's current favorite fit - the skinny fit.

In the pictures I am wearing my newest loves - the Miranda Jeromin style. They are a skinny fit jean with tears on the knee and an ankle graze distress cut.

KanCan Jeans was so kind and gave me a promo code (123DB) for you to save 20% on any items from their website! I am so happy they were so kind to share the love with you all. Thank you KanCan for sending me these comfortable and stylish pair of jeans.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette | REVIEW + SWATCHES

Anastasia Beverly Hills launched their first ever PERMANENT palette to their collection. The Modern Renaissance palette was inspired by the Renaissance and brings a stunning array of berry and earth tone shadows. This palette contains 11 matte shadows and 3 shimmers, of which one is more of a satin finish than metallic. It comes with a dual ended brush - I love the fluffy end, so much! This is a cardboard packaging palette with a GORGEOUS soft lilac/soft pink felt-like cover on. Absolutely gorgeous and different from other palettes.

Below I have the review and swatch video as well as a closer look at each individual shade on my neutral tone Spanish/latin skin tone.

Pigmented, smooth, easy to blend and a gorgeous array of color for everyday to smokey looks.

Has a bit of kickback (gets messy in the palette as powder goes everywhere when you put the brush in) and has a bit of fall out. Nothing I can deal with!

Tempera - Velvety beige with an ultra-matte finish
Golden Ochre - Earthy yellow with an ultra-matte finish
Vermeer - Iridescent shell with a metallic finish
Buon Fresco - Antique lavender with an ultra-matte finish
Antique Bronze - Metallic sable with a satin finish
Love Letter- Raspberry with an ultra-matte finish
Cyprus Umber- Dark coffee with an ultra-matte finish

Raw Sienna- neutral amber with an ultra-matte finish
Burnt Orange- deep orange with an ultra-matte finish
Primavera- shimmery gold dust with a metallic finish
Red Ochre- Sienna with an ultra-matte finish
Venetian Red- Crimson with an ultra-matte finish
Warm Taupe- Earthy gray with an ultra-matte finish
Realgar- Brick with an ultra-matte finish

DUPED Makeup Geek Foiled Shadow in BH Foiled Shadow Palette?!

Recently I got my hands on the BH Cosmetics Foiled Shadow Palette that comes with 28 foil shadows for only $19.99USD! Once I started swatching these shadows I noticed a lot of them were similar to some of the Makeup Geek Foiled Shadows I own. In fact some of the foiled eye shadows in the BH Foiled Shadow Palette are IDENTICAL to some of the Makeup Geek Foiled Shadows. I do have to state that no matter how similar the shades of the BH palette are to the MUG shadows, the MUG foiled shadows are much creamier! In fact, some the BH Cosmetic shadows need a bit of help (MAC Fix+) to show off its full potential. Considering the price tag on the BH palette ($19.99USD) as opposed to the Makeup Geek ($10 per foiled shadow), I think it is totally worth purchasing the BH palette!

A few of the shadows popped off due to not being stuck on well. Even with this mishap, I am still very, very pleased with this palette!

All the eyeshadows in this palette are pigmented! I love the array of colors in this palette. Perfect for any makeup lover to add some shimmer to their eye look or for the color loving gal/guy.

Makeup Geek Foiled Shadow DUPES

Makeup Geek''s Mesmerized compared to this BH shade is definitely not that much alike once swatched. I just wanted to show you this BH shadow is more of dupe for MAC's Blue Brown Pigment.

This BH Foiled Shadow is a lot more like the Makeup Geek Mesmerized shadow. The MUG one has more purple/silver while the BH one is a bit more neutral toned.

Makeup Geek's Houdini and this BH shadow are pretty spot on in regards to color/tones but the MUG one is a bit more creamy. Both are great though!

The Makeup Geek Charmed Foiled Shadow beside this BH one are pretty much identical!

Makeup Geek's Daydreamer also has been perfectly duped in this BH palette!

Makeup Geek Grandstand next to this BH one are QUITE similar. The only difference is that the MUG one is a bit more rose toned but still a very close dupe.

Makeup Geek's Starry Eyed is almost a complete dupe as well. The color in these two are almost the same, the only differing being the MUG shadow is simply a bit more rose toned.

Makeup Geek's Whimsical and this BH shade are almost identical! The MUG one has more rose tones but a very close dupe!

This BH shadow and Makeup Geek's Showtime are quite possibly one of the most spot on colors. You can tell a slight difference in the base on the outside of the shadows but overall it's identical.

Fortune Teller was the one Makeup Geek Foil shadow that is so unique that there was not a dupe for it in the BH Cosmetics Foil Shadow Palette. This was the closest I could find with the BH shadow being much more gold.

What do you like?
They're matte, creamy, waterproof, transfer-proof, and last all day. They are not overly drying.
Vegan & cruelty free.

Lasting Power
After eating and drinking (through a straw) this lip liner lasted all day with minimal fading on the inside of my lips.
In the picture below you can see that a simple huggies wipe will not remove this liner. It's amazing! I recommend using an oil based remover.

What do you not like?
I had to sharpen the pencil twice to fill in my entire lips.

Luda Beauty Lip Contour in Famous
I found it a little difficult to get that sharp line as you can see in the picture above.
It also has a tad bit of a sticky feeling but it is not unbearable, I actually rarely noticed it. In fact, if you are using this solely as a lip liner, the sticky feeling is a great thing as it will help hold on to any lip product you apply over top.

Would you recommend?
Yes, if you like this type of formula/pencil.
I really think it comes down to personal preference because it is difficult to get the pencil to a sharp point, which I prefer to line my lips. I know there are many individuals who love more of a rounded pencil and if that is you then you will love this lip liner!

If you are wanting this to contour your lips, I'd definitely suggest it!

Review Maybelline BROWdrama Pomade Crayon

Influenster and Maybelline sent me the Eyestudio BROW Drama Pomade Crayon so I could share my thoughts and experience with them. There are many pomades on the market but none shaped like a crayon, like Maybelline's is. This is suppose to be a quick, slide through your brows, comb them and go type of product. It has a soft consistency but will not just melt on you.

Shades available:
250 Blonde
255 Soft Brown
260 Deep Brown
265 Auburn

I was sent Soft Brown and Deep Brown. I love the way Deep Brown looks on me as it is dark and matches my black hair but doesn't look unnaturally dark.

Lasting Power
Considering it is an easy application product, it lasts quite long on the brows! I tested it out on a hike and my brows did not budge even though I had sweat running down my forehead. Mind you, I did not set my brows with any other product.

What do you like?
It is easy to use, creamy, pigmented, and inexpensive. This pomade crayon helps darken and define the brows without looking overly unnatural. It is perfect and QUICK for everyday use.

What do you not like?
Sometimes I over shoot the thickness of my brow and draw "outside the line." Also, the product is a bit too thick to get that thin line at the tail of the brow.
It is easy to clean with concealer though. I recommend using a brush to extend the tip of the brow.

Would I recommend it?
Absolutely! It is so creamy, pigmented, easy to use, and inexpensive. In saying that I would only suggest this product to those with thicker/full brows. Why? With the design of this product, it is a lot more difficult to draw on fake hairs. Also, there is not a wide range of colors so finding one that would match perfectly may be a little more difficult and may not look as "natural." If you just want to darken your brows a bit or fill in sparse areas, this is a great product.

Where is it sold?
Ultra Beauty $9.99
Walmart 8.05
Target $8.99
Walgreens $9.99
CVS Pharmacy $9.99
& other places

How to use

Brush your brows with a spoolie.
Run the pomade crayon through your brows.
Brush with a spoolie one more time.

derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask REVIEW

Hi everyone! Let's talk about the Derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask today. Derma e products are developed by Dr. Linda Miles, D.O.M. and are all natural, cruelty free, and 100% vegan. This charcoal mask pulls out impurities from you skin then as you remove the mask, it exfoliates your face. This mask has marine algae and activated charcoal. Activated charcoal is like a magnet that absorbs dirt and oil, while algae is a natural moisturizer. You get the best of both worlds in one mask!

How do I use this?
Apply mask to face. It will go on dark gray and then turn a lighter gray as it dries. Expect a tingling sensation. Once dry, wet your hands and starts massaging your face in a circular motion to gently exfoliate your skin.

The first time I used it, I could see that it had made some of those under the skin breakouts come right up to the surface. I applied my Mario Badescu drying lotion on top and had those breakouts gone in a much shorter period of time.
I have been using this mask for the past few weeks and I am IN LOVE! I would even go as far as saying that I like it better than other charcoal masks. It is so incredibly inexpensive and it actually works! Now, the derma e mask will not show you the "oily" parts of your face once the mask is dry like the other masks do. But really, I just want a mask to do its job and the derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal mask does just that!

You never know how your skin may react to new products. My best friend, who has sensitive skin, tried this mask and her face was red for about thirty minutes or so. She said it did not burn and that she also experiences the same with the GlamGlow Mud Mask. After researching, I learned others also had the same experience. Some of which said they did not have sensitive skin to begin with. Keep in mind this does not mean it will happen to everyone. It really just depends on YOUR skin.
I personally do not have this problem but if I apply it too close to my eyes, the tingling sensation will make my eyes water.

Where can I purchase this?

How much does it cost?
$19.50 for 1.7 OZ/48 G

Sodium lauryl sulfate
Mineral Oil

100% Vegan & Cruelty Free
